CONSULTATIONS

Tree health and safety consultations begin with a thorough assessment of your tree or trees in question. During a consultation, MTS owner and ISA certified arborist, Scott McMillan, will carefully inspect the tree or trees for signs of damage, disease, structural instability, root failure, and other signs of instability or disease- identifying any potential hazards or concerns. You will be provided with his professional opinion verbally, and/or in writing- if desired for insurance or other purposes. All recommendations and your options will be conveyed in clear, straightforward terms and an estimate for us to do the prescribed work will be provided so that you can make an informed decision on if and how you would like to proceed. In many cases, if you choose to have us do the work prescribed, the cost of the consult will be deducted from the cost of the job.

Tree Selection & Planting Consultations

Tree selection and planting consultations begin with an assessment of your site and soil. Factors such as soil type, sunlight, existing landscape and structures, water supply, and your desires and goals regarding adding new trees to your property will be taken into consideration when recommendations on tree varieties are made. In addition, you will be provided with information on the care and maintenance requirements of specified trees as well as the option to have us purchase and install the tree(s) for you or to do the installation yourself.

Building Consultations

We work regularly with homeowners, developers, contractors, and governmental agencies before embarking on projects to decide whether trees in question need to be removed or to advise on what precautions need to be taken to ensure the health and safety of trees in construction zones. Owner and certified arborist, Scott McMillan will come out to the jobsite and assess the tree or trees in question- taking into account your goals and objectives, the current health and structural integrity of the tree(s), where their root systems lie, and how your proposed plans may affect trees you may want to preserve. He will make recommendations on steps to protect them or offer and provide you with an estimate for trees you wish to have removed.
